I have been using Remington bullets and sabots I am not sold on them I bought some 250 grain BE bullets and would like to know what sabot to buy for UML . I have numerous sabots from all the different makers the one I like the best is the one that has a sort of step base inside the rear inside if that makes sense not the smooth sort of base inside the rear of the base? I feel with the vast knowledge of the members some one will know what I'm trying to get. However I need a sabot that will hold up to heavy doses of BH-209 or 777

What is the loaded OD of those Remington sabots. I know MMP makes them but only Remington sells them.

Do you think the Remington sabots are different than anything MMP sells to the public ?

Do you think the Remington sabots are different than anything MMP sells to the public ? Yes the green sabot that comes with the 250gr Accutip is only made for Remington. That bullet is .449 dia. so the sabot is thicker.

Thanks I did not realize that . I wonder why Remington done that ? That is counterproductive according to what I have read . I had always read that when pushing a saboted bullet hard the sabot needed to be thin ? That's why the .458 bullets were popular with the Savages ?
