Doug Wood from Cooper Maine. I have been a commercial fisherman for 30 years and my wife and I own a wholesale seafood business here in Downeast Maine. We are about 30 min from Canada on the coast. Avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. I bought a Savage ML1 about 2003 or so and thought it was the greatest ML there was. I am now looking forward to building a .45 cal smokeless for hunting. Alway trying to improve to insure ethical harvest.

Welcome.
If you thought that ML1 was nice you haven't seen anything yet. The .45 smokeless with today's hydrid bullets are going to blow your mind. Plan on doubling your ethical range.

I am very much looking forward to it. I have been reading daily trying to decide witch would be best for a hunting rig.

I know...easier said than done....good luck. Steve
