This is the same gun that I shoot at the Kentucky Challenge. The only thing that was changed was the stock, it is in a Manners T2A that has flush cups on the left side for the sling. It has a 28" 1-20" Brux barrel. This group was shot at 500yds. with the 325 Aeromax bullets that Kyle sent me to test. The load was 90gr. IMR3031. I shot one of the 325 Accumax at 100 to check zero and then one 325 Aeromax to see if they hit together, the Aeromax made the hole just a little bigger on the top. Then moved to 500yds where I had a target with 3" dots. I shot some Accumax to get the scope dialed in good on elevation then moved to another dot and fired 3 Aeromax bullets with the same dial up. The group is 3/4 MOA higher than the Accumax group.

That is a great group! I would be careful with that small shank barrel. 3031 probably produces less pressure even at 90grs but a Savage with a barrel nut is really on the thin side of the safety factor when trying to push heavy bullets and a long powder column. What type of breech plug are using 209 or LRMP?

I have also shoot groups using H4831SC with the 325 Accumax that are just as good at 100yds. as it did today at 100yds. When the Aeromax is in production I will try some with the H4831SC at 500 and see if it is as good.

The large shank gives you a little more metal but not anywhere near a 1.250 shank for 3to4 inches ahead of the recoil lug. Its a very nice looking rig just pointing out that most guys like to use a heavier barrel when they build a high performance 45 Cal M/L. What velocity does your 90gr load turn up with the 325gr Bullet. And with 4831SC I could see that powder working with 325 and 350 gr bullets

Mark your the man, topped your 400 yard group at the Kentucky Challenge. Your not allowed to shoot at the next challenge, PLEASE only come as a spectator. LOL Only joking, look forward to watching you at work on the bench. Stay well Charles PS- Kyle looks like you have another *** WINNER ***
