.40 RemPac strikes again:
Load:
10/65 N110/IMR3031 MV about 2900fps Smooth sized 200 SST Wool Wad Fed. 209A
Shot this 180 lb. 8 pt. this past Friday. The shot was about 100 yards and was quartering away hard. The bullet did not exit which I didn’t expect it to on that angle. The bullet made it to the off side shoulder with a small hole in the ribcage. I found the bullet intact just under the hide of the off side shoulder right at the elbow.
He only went about 50 yards but no blood trail.

Entrance:
Entrance side of ribcage:
Exit side of ribcage:
Recovered 200 sst: Weighed 110.3 grains.

Also shot a doe that morning with the same load at about 75 yards perfectly broadside. No blood for the first 20 yards then good blood for the last 10 yards.
Entrance:
Entrance side of ribcage:
Exit side of ribcage:
Exit:

You know, I could say: "Good shootin' Scott" but knowing how well you shoot, they were both a "given!"

Thanks Richard! Picking your brain on the trip back and forth to KY sure helps.
