Got to hunt our muzzy season a couple days last week. Was using the new build that I got from Richard. Had it zeroed in with the 300 gr and clays 7 gr /h4198 63 grs. The deer was very scarce ,had plenty on camera but none of the day time. The morning hunt I didn't see anything, not even a squirrel. At 4:45 here comes a doe out at 250 yds,but is heading away from me.I am hunting a power line and most of the time she is blocked out of view behind a power pole.A few minutes later comes out a smaller doe same going away from me. The first doe is right at 300 yds and I decide if she gives me a shot I am going to take it.Just at 300 yds she decides to turn right and stops giving me a broadside shot. Was a good heart shot and she didn't drop but only made it about 60 yds. Weighed at 120 lbs and will be some good eating.

Way to go! I had same results with the 300ftx last year. Works real good. The deer situation sounds the same for us in NW Indiana. Good cam pics but low daytime sightings. Hope it breaks loose soon.

Glad the new rifle drew blood Frank! Sorry I did not see the post earlier as I have been back and forth to the hospital with the wife having had that colon "resection!" I might get lucky and shoot on Tuesday as she is hopefully coming home today.
