Three months ago I also turned a nice rifle into scrap. I loaded 8 viles of 110 instead of 150. The writing of what powder is very small and without my cheaters on I loaded the wrong stuff. The first three shots went into a nice 3/4 inch group. The next five were all over the place. I had thought I had cracked a another bushing. I came home and discovered what I had done. Quick loads puts that load at 124kpsi and I shot it 8 times not knowing what I was doing. Barrel bulged .025 right were the powder sits. I am lucky that shillen has strong steel in there barrels.

Richard,
Glad to hear that you weren't hurt, that is the main thing !!!
Thanks for sharing this with all of us, takes a real man to admit to his mistakes and put it out there for all to see.
Those of us who know you and how meticulous and experienced you are realize that if this can happen to you it can happen to any of us.
I for one will be more careful when loading, I wouldn't want to even think about what could happen in my Encore conversion.
