I have been shooting the 275 accumax bullets with Blackhorn. Doug has been shooting some of the 300 accumax bullets with Blackhorn. We both have getting some great groups I decided to try some of the 325 accumax bullets with Blackhorn. I was not disappointed after shooting 1 shot to foul the barrel the rest of my shots where in the same hole if I did my part. I will try some 350 accumax bullets before deer season comes in here in Indiana and Ohio. I expect the 350's to shot the same. Thank you Kyle for the awesome bullets.

I have a tray full of Blackhorn weighed out to play with hopefully this weekend, can't use smokeless at home, only when we head to Missouri. What weight charges are you guys shooting with 325's? Don and I shot a little with the 275's with charges by weight between 95 and 105 with good results, looking to play with the heavier bullets now

Same loads . But we both had to loose the wads to get really good accuracy

We have both shot loads anywhere from 90 grs. By weight to 115 grs. by weight with all different weight bullets we always seem to go back to 100 grs. by weight of Blackhorn no matter what the weight bullet. Doug cleans between shot shots I don't . Neither of us use wads the accumax bullets didn't like the wads for whatever reason.

Scott is shooting a Remington ML with a Brux barrel converted by Bestill . I am shooting a Remington Hankins also with a Brux barrel . Maybe I should not tell you this but we called Blackhorn . They told use we could not overload a gun with Blackhorn. Blackhorn will only create so much pressure no matter the load . It's around the 25000 psi rating . Blackhorn is a progressive burning powder and will only create so much pressure . I'm not recommending by any means loading more than what your manufacture recommends I'm only stating what Blackhorn told us . Hopefully Bestill will read this post and chime in he is the Blackhorn Professor! I will tell you this after about 90 grains by weight you don't gain a whole lot . 120 grains by volume or 84 grains by weight ( factory max loads by most ) will do anything you want out to 300 yards . I've seen it done .

There has been some pressures recorded with blackhorn in 45 with powder chamber and heavy bullets that approach 35,000 psi Also lab guys at blackhorn have got pretty crazy with cartridge rifles like 45/70 and have got to 40,000psi but very irratic and they were trying. With custom builds and heavy barrel with quality breech all good. But there's limits with factory guns and blackhorn which i think Western powders covers that. High temps and heavy bullets will definitely spike velocity and pressure. I have noticed at 95 gr by weight i dont see much velocity difference between275 bullets to 350 bullets. Just some info always learning. Blackhorn is a weird powder

I found the same thing on the velocity. Blackhorn seems to like 300 grainish bullets . Mark Miller told me something that I have not ran into . He said that he does not get consistant ignition with heavier bullets . I think he was referring to 350 grain plus bullets . I have never shot anything over 350 grains but with a 350 grain bullet everything preformed great ? Have you ran into that Jeff ?

I believe his problem was leaking knight breech plug. He has since then went to bushing plug.
