Anyone have experience with the IHR Recticle? Is It bright enough at dusk and dawn. There is no Illumination offered for this scope. I'm thinking this is perfect scope for my Encore .45 But Leary of the recticle during critical shooting times. Thank

I have looked at one in the store but that's it. I liked it.

Being a SFP I'm afraid the fine crosshairs will be difficult to see at critical shooting times. If it was FFP, I would buy it.

I have the SHV 4-14x50 F1 and the reticle is very tiny at low power. I hunted with it this past weekend and at first/last light I have to turn on the illumination to see the crosshair. I would say you might be right about the IHR. I will look at it again one day this week and see how it compares to mine.

I bought the Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 with the IHR Recticle. All I can say is DISAPPOINTED!!! Clarity was ok, but not as good as my Trijicon And the Recticle was not even visible in the shadows at last light. Without Illumination feature, it's worthless. It was fuzzy at the edges when the Trijicon was clear from side to side. I expected more from a scope with the Nightforce name. I won't purchase another SHV. The Nightforce rep I spoke with told me exactly same glass in SHV as in the NXS. If that's the case, I will stick with cheaper scopes with equal or better glass, because I was less than impressed.
I called scope list and they took it back without any questions. I have a Burris Veracity on the Way now.
