Had 5 squirrels and a rabbit in front of me yesterday evening at 20yds I'm in my stand swatting at mosquito's as I'm 20yds from a pond, they pay no attention to me as I do this for about an hour and then a doe comes out from behind me to about the same 20yds where I stuck an arrow in it. Had 7 squirrels at once all 20yds or less and 2 does within 20yds, stuck an arrow in another doe this morning.

Well, my grandmothers grandfather was from the Osage People, (Indian) I believe from Oklahoma Territory. I think unless I see a good buck here in Ohio I am going to pass the does for a while. I will be going to Tenn. for the first week of muzzle loader which comes in Nov.5,the W.V. gun season week of Thanksgiving, then back here in Ohio for our gun season. I will use muzzle loader for all gun seasons. It is a blessing to have some good freezer supplies early.

I spent several years watching the HECS commercials scratching my head convincing myself the concept made sense. In 2014 I said screw it it's only a little over $100. Look what we spend on MZ bullets. That year I took a nice elk with my bow as well as a nice whitetail. The way both encounters played out led me to belive HECS played a role in the end result. 2015 nothing worth mentioning. 2016 a few weeks ago back in CO elk hunting. Took a cow at 10 yds. I came to full draw she then walked closer to see what I was. Now she's in my freezer. Does it work? Who knows for sure but it doesn't hurt.

I also believe that anything that keeps you having a positive attitude! Its easy to get discouraged when you spend long hours on stand whether HECS works or not? Who knows and I believe it would be truly hard to prove either way! Although if it gives you extra confidence I say use it

I have a friend that routinely stalks deer with a longbow and a few bedded coyotes and has harvested many within 20yrds he doesn't use scent lok, sprays,or HECS he claims its all a state of mind and becoming one with nature! He says alot of his success is due to tom brown tracker school where he learned about tracking and scouting! So HECS and everything else?

If I'm not mistaken there was an emf test done with and without the suit and it barely registered with the suit.We still have to beat their nose and that is by and far the biggest challenge.I don't know if this technology is completely provable or not.No sarcasm intended, some people still don't believe sml's are safe, some of us have been safely shooting them for years.Anyhow, good hunting to all,by whatever method you use.

Well guys I just got back from the local sporting goods shop and they had the HECS suits on clearance for 99.99....After reading this thread ,I couldnt pass up the opportunity to try it out,so I pulled the trigger on a suit....They normally had them on sale for 179.99....I've spent way more money on my hunting gear in the past, so I will see how my overhunted public land deer react or not to it.... One question though...? The head net has no holes in it....do you cut eyeholes out or a bigger hole for more vision...? BTW a guy on craigslist had a sinclair rest for sale for 40.00 bucks ....It will be mine in 2 days....I'm on a roll and Bowhunting season opener this weekend...Woo HOO...

My head net came with cutout already in it. The fabric isn't reinforced around it though. It's held up well for the last 2 years.

I haven't been using the head net,but it may help even more than just the suit. Also good find on the rest Lazer.

I got first blood today, a 60lb doe at eglin afb....My setup was slam dunk on these deer, but I was wearing my new Hecs suit and had 5yd shots from the treestand....They came in upwind of me and I new they would be coming out of planted pines to browse on chinkapins and fresh acorns....It was a good afternoon...
