Well Guys... The fall shoot has came and gone and what a great success it was. I do appreciate everyone that attended and helped out with the shoot.
It is now time to start planning for the next Kentucky Challenge. It will be held in the spring of 2017, most likely late April or early May. I am asking you guys for any suggestions on shoot dates, we will avoid holiday weekends and try to come up with a date that will work good for all of us..
Let me know your thoughts... Thanks.. Jeff.

February Polar Bear Iron Man Kentucky Challenge is my vote. Any time in April or Early May works too.

Late April or early May works for me.
X2
Works for me too. I will have filled any turkey tags I have left from the fall hunt, we get 3 per year in VA and 2 max fall or all 3 spring so I fill 2 fall and 1 spring and our season opens early April. My situation and others vary but 1 weekend out of 6 weeks is very little to miss for turkey hunting. D@<*, this scheduling stuff when you are retired is a mammoth headache, LOL. Best to all, 10
PS: Just schedule it and I'll come if I can.
PPS: If it's the polar bear shoot I'll bring the shoot bags that fit the window sill of the pickup and shoot from a heated "stand".

You know...............we start our 600 yard matches in January (I have no control or say over it as another club runs the matches) but it really sucks! We like to bring out our good equipment and are hoping to shoot under some decent conditions.......at least temperature wise and January and February, even March, are not welcome, at least by me? So my vote would also be for the end of April or beginning of May. Most any date will work.

I can't take the cold myself due to medical conditions. No I am not whining. Just not for me. Late April early may works for me. The August shoot this year landed on a bad weekend for me. I hope w Jeff move's it one week either direction. Now ....how about setting it up on the same weekend in the spring and fall so everyone can just plan that those weekends are the standard every year. Yes some will not be able to go. But you are going to have that anyway. Just a thought drop

Any date in the spring is good for me. But I would like to get these nailed down. And have them permanent weekends so we can schedule our vacation times to get them. Yes there will always be those who may not make it....but with annual scheduling I feel in the long run we will get more participation. Drop

Any weekend other than May 5-7, there is a PRS shoot in Ohio that weekend.

How about setting up the shoot so that it falls the weekend after Easter every year... That would make it work out this year to be on April 21, 22, 23. 2017
Then for the fall shoot we can set it up for the second weekend in the month of august,,, this would make it 11, 12, 13,, 2017.....
Let me know guys and I will chisel them in stone...
