judge a book by its cover...my son came home with a buddy from college for the weekend and he wanted to squirrel hunt. He pulled a very rough looking Ted Williams (Winchester)semi-auto out of its case. My heart sank...it was rough...but I decided to make the best of it and took the cloudy 4x Tasco off and put a 3x9x40 Bushnell on it...big improvement. We gave it a very good cleaning. The following group was shot by him at 35 yds.Tthe ammo was Ely Target. The top shot got him on paper and he proceeded to walk it down. He didn't understand click value so I estimated it and he proceeded to punch the center group!

Seems like most old 22's make good squirrel guns! Probably a lot of history in that old gun.

It has been my experience that semi-autos in general require a lot to get them to shoot like a bolt gun. This gun shoots like a much more exspensive gun. The trigger on this gun feels like 15lber...lol I told him there would be no excuses accepted in the morning...lol
