Myself and a couple hunting buddies have been very busy the last few weeks building new tower stands on our lease. This is #4 that we just finished yesterday. I am so relieved they are done. Now come on Oct. 1st!!!!

Do they have cable or Dish?? lol
It's nice to have a comfortable place to hunt out of. Those stands are the kind a guy can get into and not come out of until dark. I have seen time and again during rut, bucks sniffin' thru the woods in the middle of the day after everyone has went back to camp.

You are exactly right Rambler the comfort makes it easy to stay all day if you need to. It also so makes it very nice for my buddy and his kids to be able to hunt together. Not to mention a nice dry place if its raining.

And the opportunity for photo and video action is worth noting. Nothing better than a well documented hunt. I would have given anything to have my smartphone 10 years ago when I watched a buck for the better part of an hour with head down, oblivious to the world, sniffing for does.

Do they have cable or Dish?? I've seen shoot houses that do. And fridges and heaters. They remind me of little ranger stations looking for Wild Fires.

Some of the guys in our club do have heaters in theirs but I don't. Maybe one day though....

couple of the guys I hunt with in KY have electricity in their houses. They use electric heaters, and keep it at like 60 degrees. I would say they are a little spoiled. I do enjoy hunting out of the little houses, doesn't seem like the deer can smell you as much with the windows closed.

Put a heavy rubber mat on the floor over the weekend to help with noise. The chair is in place the clover and chicory were fertilized with 0-25-25 and waiting on Oct.1st for opening day of muzz. season.

Good luck Scott! We were shooting today as usual and a "baldy" came trotting across the 200 yard berm. She was tracked in NF and I just said: "BANG!" Gotcha!

Headed to this stand this afternoon for opening day of muzzleloader season. Calling for rain for the next 3-4 days so it will be nice once I get to it. This is a 10 day season for subs only.

OK, so no smart remarks about me target shooting from a heated range house! In my eyes target shooting is supposed to be done comfortably but "hunting" is supposed to be done "Roughing it!"

I like the comfort of the tower stand too. I grew up hunting in climbing stands so I still like to do it. I have 4 climbers out right now.
I did see an 8pt and a 6pt and a couple doe's yesterday. The 8pt was not legal on our club, must be 15 inches outside spread.

Well so far 5 inches of rain the last two days and 15 - 20mph winds. Not much fun and deer not moving. Cant blame them!
