Hillbill and Keith: Would you suggest using the level for long range hunting? What is the exact model and where might be a good place to buy it? Any other pointers about the bubble/level? Is there a level you can use with a regular Murphy scope mount? I recommend them for any long shot whether targets or (especially) game. I like the Flat-Line Ops and Accuracy First bubble levels and both mount on your scope tube. There are levels that mount to the base but I like them on the scope for a couple of reasons.

I have had scope mounted levels but like this one better, its kind of out of the way and where its positioned I never have to move my head from the cheek weld. I simply focus my left eye on it to see if its on. Its a US Optics and is rail mounted, its on a Ken Farrell base on my gun. they also make one that swings out of the way but I like this one..
this is a pic with the cover off, I will show the cover screwed on the opposite side. ![](http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn218/billsheliatravis/IMG_20150805_164653_zpstzllb2fa.jpg)

a view from the scope, not a good representation but you get the idea. ![](http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn218/billsheliatravis/IMG_20150805_164833_zpsmolzop6u.jpg)

My partner uses the one Bill has but is swapping over to a scope mounted level since we swap scopes a lot. I like the Accuracy 1st level best (costs half of what the Flat Line model does and is more durable ) and it co-witnesses like Bill's. I'm shooting a bunch this week on some new guns and they are working well.

I have used the US optics rail mount level like Hillbill posted. It is a very nice level, and easy to see while you are still down on your rifle. I was shooting out to 1150 yards, and it made a huge difference out past about 600 yards.

I use the levels made for Vortex Optics. They clamp onto the scope tube.
