Put a new Boyds Prairie Hunter Black Jack stock on my daughter's 700ML. I went with the shortest LOP possible that still allowed the 1" Pachmayr recoil pad to be installed. I had to try out the Deer Themed engraving, Boyds did a nice job on it. No plan on installing a ramrod, I'm going to turn the old ramrod into a 2 or 3 piece carry in the pack rod; also not putting the sights back on. I still need to shoot it, hopefully the range dries out soon. If it doesn't shoot any better with the new stock, its going to get a new 45 PacNor barrel Last range session with the old stock didn't do too bad but I wanted better. Shot with 90gr BH209, 250gr TMZ with supplied yellow sabot Now it's all dressed up and ready to head to the range, going to try the same 90gr load Youth Remington 700ML 13 1/4" LOP Bedded/Rossman Aluminum Pillars Nikon 2-7x32 scope Factory trigger Hunter Bolt Nose Kit and Breech Plug Weighs 8lbs 10oz

Really a neat gun. With fathers day this weekend I'm sure she'll give you a big hug and "I love you Dad". Then take her to the range and shoot that thing. I will also suggest going to BCR sabots and .458 bullets. or For lower recoil and such try the hard blue 40X50 sabots with a sub base hot glued on back and knurl .40 caliber 200 gr XTP or SST bullets. That is minute of deer accurate to 150 in my 50s and very managable recoil. That is what my 98# 29 year old daughter has been shooting a while. Yes, a worthy Dad you are. 10

Thanks everyone.
thanks for the load info, I've got some of those sabots to try, need to get some .458 bullets though.
