this one I killed in southern Illinois with the ole Savage, he was running two does straight at me as fast as he could go trying to cut them off, the lead doe made me and peeled off and when he cut in the woods after her I got lucky with the best shot of my life, 115 yds from one knee with him on the boogie. the 300 barnes original entered behind the shoulder and broke the femur on the opposite side. he is 159 2/8" not big but the best I have 
I shot this mid 130s in Ill with a bow after watching him mount a doe twice, I actually thought he was a better deer but? 
this one I killed 10 years ago three miles from my house, mid 140s but in my area that's big. I found one of his sheds during turkey season that year and was fortunate enough to meet up with him in nov. he grew 7" on that shed side that summer. 
there is a long story behind this buck but unless someone wants to hear more I will make it short, I loaded him in the back of the truck exactly 24 hrs after I shot him the eve before. it was hot, mid to upper 70s for 9 days during the first and second week of nov that year and I was glad to see this ole boy, old he was, estimated to be 9 yrs
