That Leupold looks great! All of the scopes I own, except for two are Leupolds. Leupold's service deprtment is absolutely unbeatable in my opinion. I have sent several of my Leupolds back to have reticles changed out, parallax settings modified and turrets added. I've never had a problem with any of my transactions or customer experiences with Leupold. Nice choice Bill and a great looking gun!!!!!

If I remember correctly last go around was a vortex viper PST 4x16 Conquest 4.5x14 Valdada 4x14 Zeiss victory 6x 24 Night force nsx There were two or three more but its been a while. Bill...........How did the Vortex compare in your test? I've been thinking real hard on trying a Viper 4-16x50 HS LR on my build from Jeff.

Bill...........How did the Vortex compare in your test? I've been thinking real hard on trying a Viper 4-16x50 HS LR on my build from Jeff. I have a vortex viper hs 4-16x44 I've only been able to shoot 100 yards so far cause of time. It tracks super good at 100 yards and I really like the side focus it's allot better than my Nikon Prostaff 5 XR Custom turret. Zen has one and had an issue with the objective lense coming loose but vortex fixed it quickly and hasn't had an issue since. I've only got about 50 rounds threw mine. Hope that helps.

Lookin good Bill. Hope it holds up better than the hd5. I have an hd5 on my 7mm RM with no problems so far but these guns are a different animal.

questions asked about scopes?
the PST that I had tracked very well and I really liked the features, the lighted reticule works really well BUT when compared to the conquest I was very disappointed, optically it was not close to the conquest which at the time was in the same price range. IM not saying it is a bad scope it just isn't on par with the zeiss optically. I promptly sold it and bought another conquest.
Valdada's are very good optically but I don't care for the color hue the coatings transmit, I still have one on an AR and its a good scope. they are built like a tank but I have managed to break one on these MZLRs, they fixed it and I still have it now.
the NSX I recall was middle of the pack optically but above the vortex. the ATACR and BEAST are different animals, they are very good optically, I have mounted and shot one of each and I was very impressed.
I am by no means a scope expert so take all this for what its worth, I just call them like I see them OR can see through them...

Bill,
My old Leupold [01] is like a Timex watch still running like new after many big boomers. Hope yours works as will or better. As always my best wishes to you.

Bill, that is a high dollar scope. I hope it works well and holds up.

Several years ago I did a similar test. At the time I had a dealer who was "lending me" (for more than two years) a Valdada 6 X 24 X 35mm tube for my heavy 1K rifle. So, with that, a NightForce and a Leupold all at the same power, we put them on the bench at my range (set on sand bags) and aligned them on a piece of printed material at 100 yards. Three of us then viewed the text (of various size) and came to the conclusion that the Valdada was the sharpest and gave us the ability to read the smallest print. Now, if I had deep pockets and was going to buy my ultimate ML scope, I would probably get the one you just bought. Primarily because of Leupold's service reputation along with the fact I have always liked Leupolds and Chevy's Richard

I got a VERY good deal on this scope, one of the reasons I bought it, that and I like it, the power range and it has good reviews from everything I could find and guys I talked to that have them.
I sized some 300 be and 325 mh, cleaned the barrel and primed some modules up.
If nothing happens at dawn before church I will see what it does

Alright, Bill taught me how to get back to this site. That is s beauty scope. Do you mind telling us your reasoning for selecting that scope with those options?
