Most of the CVA's seem to really like 110 grs. of BH209 with the 250TEZ and the 250FTX.

Congrats on the new rifle. My CVA Apex and my son's Accura like 110gr BH209 and a Barnes 250gr TEZ in a Harvester smooth black sabot. Velocity approx. 2000fps. Very lethal combo and has taken many deer, very few recovered bullets and all were picture perfect. This one from a lower velocity impact This one, higher velocity

Did you get the Blackhorn breach plug or is it the standard CVA plug.

I have two CVA Apexes one in 45-70 and the other a .308 and I have 50cal ML barrels for both. 110 grains of bh209 and just about any bullet or bullet/sabot combo shoots fantastic groups in both barrels.
