I have put up my own fur for lets say 56 years, like since 1960. When prices were great and I had huge piles I sold lots green as I didn't get much increase putting it up and could make more money catching more fur rather than putting it up myself. Have always skinned my take and collected glands and certain bones to sell even if selling the hides green. I have finished almost ALL my fur since 1987, my beaver buyer prefers green hides so I do skin them and don't finish or ship them. I sell my finished pelts through NAFA. I sell my glands and bones to the guys who make lures etc and usually do the dealing at convention and usually trade for traps and equipment. I get the best "trade value" for muskrat glands and beaver oil sacks and castor glands make the largest volume. As for how good do I do putting up fur, well over almost 30 years have earned a NAFA "top lot" award for muskrat, otter, coon and grey fox. Hope all your gardens are lush and the streams run clear. 10 ga

Skin most everything but fleshing is out of question because I have a bad shoulder. When you put them up yourself you have some options.
