I know you said semi-auto but might I suggest a Legacy Sports O/U escort shotgun with 18" tubes. Mine throws an exceptional pattern with an ounce and 3/8 lead T shot and shoots most buckshot well. I roll my own and buy the shot from precision reloading. This gun has interchangeable tubes. If not that then a simple M1 or M2 Benelli in 24" would be my next choice. You may also be interested in looking at Dixie tri-ball rounds. Not good for pelts but they are amazing. Many 3 ball groups in the 4" range at 50 yards. I have not done it yet but I would predict 75% kills at 75 yards.

Longtime fur and predator hunter. I can say with authority the best shotgun for predator hunting is either a Browning gold #10 autoloader, a remmy #10 autoloader or like my tried and true favorite, my Ithaca #10 auto mag. these three guns with the proper choke are the KINGS of predator shotguns. Dead predators and furbearers means $ in my pocket and I speak from over 37 years (got my Ithaca auto mag in 1979) of using the #10 auto for professional fur and predator hunting. I have had at least 1 of each of the guns I named and can say other than the browning being lighter they all do the deed exceptionally well. All others are second best. 10ga
