Yeah, but Mark didn’t you say that the “choke” (as far as you were aware) was only in the stainless models?🤔 smokelesskballisticGuys, Mark and I have been discussing this outside of the forum. 😁 Clearly I should read more before thinking... Haha. Of course reading minds is a little bit difficult compared to reading posts. Perhaps I should also get a little more sleep as well. Not sure I follow you on this. PM inbound.

I halfway cleaned the 17” barrel and checked the inside of the barrel from the breach to the muzzle. It was shiny from one end to the other. This picture is at the crown.

I planning to added a suppressor to it as soon as it gets out of jail. Awesome work buckeye68. Thank you sir! What suppressor did you decide to use? I went with a Silencer Co Hybrid with the ASR 3 port muzzle brake quick mount for an easy on and off for reloading. Can’t wait to try it out. I’ve been waiting almost 12 months.

If you have access to a bore scope, check it out and see if there is any noticeable build up of fouling? If so, use some J-B on a tight patch and "short stroke" that area. Then check for fit. If that does not solve the problem, I would get a can or tube of fine (500 grit or finer) lapping compound (Graingers, MSC or other industrial suppliers-some automotive stores have it to lap engine valves) and again, on a patch, short stroke the effected area. Then clean well to remove and residual compound and check for fit. You should be able to lap out that tightness. Remember, the tightness is only on the "lands", not the "groves"! DON'T over do it! Less is better than more!

With 250 shots on the gun I would clean the barrel and see how it loads. If it loads fine you’re good. If not I would do as Richard says.

I did clean it already and it still tight on that spot, that tightness (choke) is there from the very first shot i did with it. Waiting for JB to come in and will try it on patch. Thanks for the support and advice !

What JB paste do folks recommend? Do you simply put it in a 45 jag and patch?
