Anyone try the Accumax 250 gr Hard Core ? Thinking about trying some on my annual Texas hog hunt . These dang hogs are tough I was thinking the Hard Core would be better. I usually use a 300 win mag but would like to take some with my SML.

Depending on the rifle your shooting I would try the 278 gr hardcores. I'm shooting the standard 275's for deer and they drop em like Thor's Hammer! I have had the opportunity to kill a phew pigs with a bow and find them be a little on the hardy side. I'm sure any of Kyle's hardcore line would be fine, I just happen to like that 275 weight.

For a hog hunt, I’d go with the Hard Cores and as heavy on the bullet as you feel comfortable shooting.

I've shot a lot of hogs the last three or four years with my muzzleloaders, lost count as a matter of fact, I agree with Kyle, another issue is bullet placement, the smokeless rifles shoot so accurately I'm comfortable shooting a hog in between his eyes are right behind his ear if I have a rest or moment to set up, there are so many hogs in Southeast Texas,I have a couple places that I hunt the landowners begged me just to shoot every hog I see whether I can get the meat or kill the animals humanely or not they want them dead, yes I love hunting them
