The rotary tumblers are great. I use a Thumler's Model B High Speed. I use stainless media to clean brass and ceramic beads to impact plate bullets.

I almost bought that tumbler years ago from Cabelas but went with a Lyman vibrating tumbler. If I knew how well the rotary tumblers worked I would have.

I bought it when I was shooting Black Powder Cartridge. I needed something I could use wet media with. The rotary tumblers are very versatile. Can be used with just about any media that is sold. I still clean my larger brass with wet ceramic. I use dry corn cob for the smaller brass. Another thing I like about the Thumbler is it quietness.

Have you tried the stainless pins? I'm curious how the ceramic works compared to ss.

No , haven't tried them. But have heard good reports about them. My ceramic is too big to anything smaller than .44 cal. Even then sometimes it will bridge in .44mag cases and stick. I hear the ss pins do a better job on the primer pockets.

I went the cheapy route and got a dual drum tumbler from HF, then ordered the SS media and lemi-shine. A pinch of lemi-shine (powder) in distilled water actually cleans my brass shinier than new. The media does clean the primer pockets IF the brass hasn't set around for years. I had some of that which the media did not clean in the primer pockets. But they did clean brass which was recently shot, primer pockets and all.
