Excellent video! Way beyond my abilities and don’t really have any hunting areas to really make a shot that far so, I just never practice at those distances. My longest shots are about 400yds so I practice on paper at that distance and am confident in my abilities if everything is perfect. I’ve yet taken a deer much beyond 300 but you never know....
I do run into guys all the time that make statements like “ my gun is capable of making 1000yd shots” and I always ask, what kind of groups you get at that distance? Response is almost always identical, my range only goes to 100yds maybe 200. BUT, I know my dope. I usually mumble off with “you sound like one”

You don't need more than about 20 to 25X.

the power is nice & I use it too,but in the last few minutes of legal shooting time you probably will be powering down for clarity often then i'm down around 14x or less-nothing like field experience! Conditions will dictate the power.

What power scope are you guys using ? It is a 7-35x56 Nightforce. I do knoe I never turned it up over 25 power the entire time I was hunting. This scope is a FFP and I really prefer a SFP scope. At 35 power the reticle gets pretty large.
