Hi from tennessee. Is there somewhere to go look at guns available to buy or a list of guns that can be converted to smokeless and the ballpark price to have one converted if you provide the gun? I’m looking to get into something that I can get out to 300 yard shots if needed.

Sounds like all you need is a break action, but custom bolt builds are SWEET. Many variations can go into a custom bolt build. Choices can include but not limited to action, stock, barrel, break, bases, rings, trigger, recoil pad and optics. They can also get spendy in a hurry also. This is a place to start looking. Anything that can be done to a custom bolt cartridge gun can pretty much be done to a custom SML. www.hankinscustomrifles.com/muzzleloaders/

milkman31, Jeff Hankins at Hank's custom rifles sometimes keeps a few cva scout 45-70 riflesfor sale that have been converted to a 45 cal smokeless muzzleloader. I bought on a couple weeks ago and had him ship it to an ffl holder, sporting goods store where I picked it up. 999 bucks gets you the gun converted, ramrod, a bullet sizing die powder funnel and brass primer modules. It's a great way to get started. Haven't shot mine yet since I still need a scope and reloading press for using the sizing die.
