To blue print an action you must remove the barrel and single point re-cut all the internal surfaces of the action and bolt concentric with the bolt bore race way. Once you do this the factory barrel can not be re-used... You will then need to re-barrel the action with a new barrel, machined to fit the blueprinted action....

I would put it in the stock of choice with the new trigger and a bedding job and see what it does, it might shoot a ragged hole with the factory barrel? several do?
If not go from there.

Although, you could do this: Pull the barrel and have the action face jjjjjjuuuusssssstttt touched up...................a slight facing cut of a couple ten thousandths or so. Then have the shoulder on the barrel also trued up or checked. Generally, a factory Rem. will be headspaced at about 4 to 5 thousandths. Doing these two lathe operations will just slightly tighten up the head space.........which is good! Then lap the lugs to get some good contact on both surfaces and call it quits. With only a factory barrel, you would probably not see any advantage with blue printing anyway and at best now, you will have at least tuned it up a bit. This would not be a costly re-bop! I did it on my little .308 model 7 and it will keep five shots in 1.5" at 300 yards with a 10x Leupold scope shooting 168 Game Kings in front of 43 gr/ 4895 powder. Just a thought?

I generally have better accuracy with flat based bullets than boattails but I am not shooting at extreme long ranges.

I have seen many factory guns with good reloads and seating depth adjustments shoot lights out, A good trigger, glass job in a quality stock,(not some cheap plastic stock) with the barrel floated are all a good start!
