After shooting this gun over 100 times and still using all the original 25 pieces of brass I made for it. Testing many different load combinations the primer pockets are looser on some compared to others but none are to the point of being to loose to safely shoot.
Both the Norma and Rem brass works well as far as holding up to heavy loads I do think the Norma brass is better. What I have experienced with a Remington action is it always start to click at the top of the bolt opening and the case maybe a little sticky when you extract it but that is not always a indicator your at your limit.
The Rem 700 doesn't have a lot of cam action because most of the factory bolts are not timed very well many only have about 50% of what they should have the other thing is the 300RUM case has very little body taper and it is long which will give you another false reading of high pressure. None of my cases showed ejector marks or flatten primers but I believe that I have found my limit on the powder charge and case life and accuracy.
I hope to shoot this out to one mile a friend of mine thinks his has a place where we can do it. I want to shoot at a actual target not a rock or steel plate I can shoot at rocks in the mountains when we go hunting. You don't have to gut or retrieve a rock
