I lay ten to one you won’t get the second one done. Most doctors around here do both because most people refuse to do it again. It is about half and half around here of Docs who do both at the same time. I have a couple friends who have had both and also a few one at a time. I think key is finding a good surgeon, who isn't about how many he does but the quality for best expected outcome. I was an orthopedic rep for Stryker for 7 years. I’ve seen 3-4000 knees and hips go in, including 2 of mine. My first one was a breeze. Back to work in 3 weeks..... second, not so much! I was able to go to the barn in 3 weeks, but took a full 2 months off for it. Now I can do all sorts of stuff, pain free! It’s worth the pain, I’d do it again in a second.

I had the one done that I knew I would have the most problems with first. Because of vein valve damage I get a lot of re-flux swelling in it for the last 30 something years. The swelling causes stiffness right now as it is a fresh procedure and not fully healed. Muscular/soft tissue soreness is all I am experiencing. I no longer have the same pain as before the scope. Hoping to have the other done in the next 2-3 weeks. I will see the Doc on Mon. and ask if that is doable so I can be ready for deer gun season.

I go on October 28 for my first replacement Doc says if all goes well with the first one he’ll do the second one three weeks later I lay ten to one you won’t get the second one done. Most doctors around here do both because most people refuse to do it again. Well I’m gonna take that bet and lay down 10000.00 because I go today at 11:00 for my second knee replacement I’ll take a bank check or cash either will be fine I think I’ll go to the Bahamas to recoup with my money
