A pose by a doe that had me scratching my head for a little bit. The 5 pack of bucks showed themselves again last night and they might have added some inches. I wish the photo was better but this is as good as I have till I pull the card in a couple weeks. I had never realized how early they went nocturnal. It will be interesting to observe what changes bring them out during daylight hours.

I don’t think they went nocturnal on you I believe they are probably getting ready to head back for the day. If you’re time stamp is correct then it fell inline with am prime movement time frame

I bounce it off ScoutLook and fury deer cast plus I have a fishing app that I average off of. I was driving into work at 1645 and local big one was walking by the blade tester at that time movement for pm was to be between 1615 to 1815 so he was on time. Other factors come into play also heat humidity and storms will change a pattern. Also when that group breaks up and sheds there velvet patterns will switch. September 1st cannot get here soon enough

Our Archery doesn’t start till mid September here. In years past it seems the bachelor groups will stick together threw almost the end of September here. Some of my bucks never seem to mingle. I have been watching for weather patterns and have noticed that as a rain ends I see a spike in activity. I am only 6 months into leaving this camera for a year but it’s been interesting.

Joel my favorite time to hunt is right before it rains or just as its quitting. Killed two best bucks on that type of pattern. My bucks usually hang till mid September. Iam kinda spoiled I hunt my home state plus two next door living in the southeast corner of PA. So I get four openers with the bow

This loner looks like he has shed his velvet already. I guess not much hope for the others gaining much if any more antler

Yeah, I'd say they're done growing at this point.
I still haven't set my cameras... Maybe I'll get a break this week and get them out...

Yes it said good last night didn’t see a deer. Checked ScoutLook said fair. This Am was saying good on DeerCast and fair on SC and improving on fish scout in the Am. Roll the diced took a state stand along an overgrown field had 2 fawns 3 doe’s and a qdm legal buck place is on a 15” or wider minimum. Unfortunately I shot a doe was watching her run I forgot to look down before moving he was!!!! Standing 7 feet from the stand

Now you have one of my least favorite types of deer. One that knows your stand location.

Joel these deer know where all the stands are they don’t move but are cemented in place. I can take area or hunt from the stand during the gun seasons it’s stand only no moving. If it doesn’t get hunted between know and Friday I have a tree to climb. They forget fast

I have deer that come out and look directly at stand locations years after I have moved the stand. That is part of the reason I am going to enclosed shooting houses. We had a kid fog her scope up on a fork horn 4 years later he was following a trail cut in cattails quartering away. My bow was up and ready before he broke cattails. His head came threw and he looked back directly at tree the stand used to be in and busted me a tree over. That stand had been down for 2 years.

Joel yes the stand I was in this am in last 3 years have put 3 -140” bucks on the ground including a 160. It’s a weird choke point. I know another buck that’s bigger then one I saw this am. They usually pass at around 30 to 125 yards. This was first time measured in feet

Nice Joel, looks like the early morning was right. Next few early evening I would expect deer movement with in last half hour of daylight. First few hours of daylight. Then shutting down until around 17 th unless a cold front comes by with lite rain then it won’t matter they will be on there feet
