You guys got any trail cam pictures your willing to post? Last night had a few that placed themselves in the right spot to highlight their heads gear. The bucks aren’t the biggest but I really like the way they skylined their racks at sunset.

I have several on camera but nothing I am willing to spend any time on yet, East TN deer are nothing to brag on for sure.
Those are respectable deer!

The neighbors sure like shooting them. I am blessed with some true monsters to hunt. I usually find one or two that get my attention every year. After watching the potential of the area over the last 25 years my ideas of a wallhanger has changed. I have no problems with shooting does for freezer meat. Trophy is always in the eye of the beholder. I made a couple deals with myself 15 years ago 1 I won’t put fish in freezer (unless special conditions) and 2 if I can fill the freezer with does I will. My landowners want deer numbers down so leaving the bucks dose less damage to crops than shooting does.

Trying one in same position ALL year to see what we can learn. It has been interesting. Interactions with weather, predators, and farm machinery. I was really surprised how long it took to see fawns after they were born.

It is amazing how different areas antler growth can be so much different. When growing up I hunted the woods 40 miles east of the agricultural area I hunt now. When hunting the “woods” these would have been Monsters. To see these bucks in the agricultural areas prior to season opening is common. Once season opens they go nocturnal.

Here's the one I was chasing last year... Never saw him in person, but had him on all my cameras. Best daylight photo...

Yep, he was a dandy. Believe he made it thru season, but he was only around during the rut. Had him in there regularly from Halloween but was gone before thanksgiving. With all the shots I got of him, he was probably pushing 160 with stickers, but if he grew this year he should be a tank. Hope he makes a mistake, but I figure he's at least 5 this year...
