fine shooting by all & very impressive in my book. I iirc remember scott was having his way a match or two back to splat on the final relay but this match he put the hammer down especially @ 200 & 300yd which at this match it was settled @ 300yds(hindsight 20/20)......
I had the pleasure to spot the (sighter board) 400yd relay for scott & others on that relay & after got to talk to scott about his day which did not start well but he caught fire when it counted!
Mr. Zota & Mr.Blankenship & Kyle were also in the hunt & very respectable shooting results etc.//Zota- imo at that time was neck to neck for top honors but had a very unfortunate round go off while closing the bolt but the round hit his target -sucks/ I know as this has happened to me in other local competition----Zota & Blankenship can both shoot & compete at a very high level.
Winds @ times were very "Switchy" & Tricky but mostly manageable within reason for small groups.
Jimbob was also in the hunt respectfully!
HOW TUFF WAS IT- for me I placed 2nd@ 100yd relay & 1st @ 400yd relay & finished 5th overall grp & score aggregate.............................> I was in the hunt through 200yd but needed something spectacular to happen & the 1st 2 shots @ 300yds measured .192(YEA I was trying to reclaim my lost record @ 300 from Richard) BUTT # 3 dropped very low to open that to 3.775-i knew I was probably done then but continued to fight @ 400yd
well that's just a little insight as how it played!
Great Bench & Long range wind reading skills at this shoot!

I am impressed by the shooting skills of several of and most of the guys I have seen shoot at these shoots. Seems the light gets spread out a little on each at any given moment. Great shooting Scott.

Congratulations to Scott Bowers, like it was said, He worked hard and earned his place at the #1 spot for the Kentucky Challenge. The torch does get spread around quite a bit at this shoot. It just goes to show you that almost anyone is capable of winning this match when they put in the effort and practice.
Congratulations again to SCOTT BOWERS.

Awaiting to see the size postings of the groups and shooters. It appears you did not have to fight as much rain as we had here further north, glad the weather was tolerable for you.

Good shooting all around, Jeff and Steve had fine 400 yard groups. Scott really got rolling after the 100 yard group. Glad to see the .40 do its thing, I don't think I will throw mine away. Hope to get there some day to see everyone.

Hope to get there some day to see everyone. Wish I had an explanation for the group at 100. My sighter went into the X then shots 1 & 2 go out and to the right with # 3 right back in the X. Like hillbill says "its a muzzleloader"!
