Always entertaining. I like the "10 inch" buck. haha Kentucky, in your area at least, sure doesn't have any shortage of turkeys!

turkeys are in danger in the spring! gobblers that is. nothing like fresh fried turkey for breakfast, right Richard?
Blakely is not called Deadeye for naught.

What are you guys using to range those deer with? I have a Bushnell 1760 and Deadeye was using a Leica.

thx all for the nice comments!
special thx to Hank for a great time & hunt! hunting with a great friend from a Chariot alongside Licking river where Daniel Boone roamed nearby back in the day. Priceless!
also special thx to Kyle for forwarding the pittman 325 custom drag curve for 800el at our relatively close fps readings.
a long range hunt sometimes has its moments as Friday the day before opening hunt day spent some time on the long fields- but had trouble striking the 700yd board. hmmmmmmm?
only 2 things have changed since shooting out west, scope & elevation
so I elected to defer a long shot day 1 if presented to Cyclops until I could get the problem solved.
sat. am. after the short range hunt went to Our Range to change my zero to 100yds instead of mpbr which was calibrated in Colorado at approx. 5000 el. hoping to solve the problem asap. K.I.S.S.
100yds- 3 shots all good 444yds- 1 shot all good then back out to the long field 700yds- 1 shot all good
I knew the nf nsx tracked well & suspected the error would be dynamic pressure in relation to the bullet drag curve that was done out west. I was in Ky & Kyle text me his custom chart. bingo!
day 2 was much more windy as you can see in the video with the cloth in the rest waving periodically.
so a real long shot was out of the question unless wind laid down which it did somewhat in the last 30 minutes of legal shooting light.
this doe came out & was slightly quartered & wind was approx. 60% value so I did hold a little Kentucky windage into the shot! whew! pressure of being on film
btw- those 10" KY BUCKS are HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!lol

Nice shooting Blakely! Enjoyed the video. Is the steel target at the end of the field 1000?
