Just wondering what you guys prefer older reloading manuals data or the newer .........I've referenced both tend to prefer the older data . Older manuals tend to have higher velocities and larger powder charges . obviously older manuals dont have todays modern day bullets . I feel 200 grn buulet is just that 200 grns regardless of style just looking for some thoughts.

Powder charges seem to be lower with monolithic or solid copper bullets I think due to them having more bearing surface. I usually use hogdons' reload site even more than my nosler or speer or sierra manuals.

I tend to mostly reference the new manuals for the most up to date information. I have Lyman manuals I bought new back in the 60's when I first started loading. A lot of the powders are no longer made? Don't forget, over the years powder burn rates change to some extent. A 20 year old lot of 3031 may not produce the exact same pressure now as it did back then?
