The HM2 leaves the barrel smoking at 2100 fps...still cranking at 1530fps at 100 yds and 1134fps at 200 yds. Accuracy is outstanding....cracked cranium factor off of the chart...lol

Hate to be the nay-sayer. That was and is the worst round/chambering I ever owned. Bullets almost never open up and the wind drift is horrible. Only upshot was I bought several cases of eley ammo at 99$ a case and sold them for about 350% mark up when they quit making it. The gun shot well. Perhaps 1.5" at 100 when very calm. That round has a following that I do not understand but I would never own one again.

Sorry it did not live up to your expectations....It is a jacked up .22 round....nothing more..a light 17 grn bullet is going to drift like crazy in the open and its certainly not a 100 yard round nor will it ever be. IMO...its a dedicated squirrel eradicator.50-60 yds max. for me. The 17 grn vmax has never failed to open for me. Very destructive on squirrel heads. I shoot a CZ HM2 Varmint and it is insanely accurate out of this rifle. I will be owning a sporter in this caliber as soon as I can locate another CZ.Following is the first 50 yd group shot out of this rifle...I didn't get into this rifle with any false expectations and it has not disappointed!

I have a cz in mach 2,it will shoot accurately @ 100yds. it will hang with the 17hmr & 22lr as we have used all those in rim fire competition's@75yds here throughout the years.
squirrel's I have shot in the head were completely destroyed-looked like hank's head shots on deer w/ mz.
one brick of mach 2 was good on accuracy but another lot shot much better in eley.
have used the mach 2 to help train some newbies on wind holds @ 100yds-great trainer rifle in that regard. jmho

I have heard stories of less then stellar accuracy out of non CZ rifles. With tighter bores the CZs usually shine head and shoulders above the rest of field. I have ran 3 types of ammo thru mine. They all shot very well with the Hornady edging them out. After I shot the above group I shot the tacks out holding the target up...no complaints here..not trying to start a pissing match here just relating my positive experiences with this round.
