looks like fun Tar, takes me back to my young days in the woods before there were deer around here, squirrels, rabbits, quail, were all I had to chase til I got to kill my first deer with a bow back in 75 with a browning recurve, after that the squirrels got a reprieve.
now the quail and grouse are almost nonexistent, most of the squirrels have cattle grubs in them until frost so my squirreling is in Dec-Jan, still enjoy it though. wish we had some fox squirrels here but I have to travel almost 100 miles to into their territory.

It's still in the 85+ range here and wolves are emerging. Gets cooler like am temps in the low 60s and I'll just use the ole 9 power to scope out the condition before I "harvest". Don't have a squirrel dog now but wish I did. Looks like you and the kids are having fun. 10

I here you Hillbill....when I was growing up it was rare to see a deer...my dad woke me one morning as he spotted a young buck along the pastures edge...what a thrill it was to see that deer! Like you i killed a lot of rabbits, squirrels, frogs, coon, possums, turtles, pigeons and everything else I could settle the iron sights on....lol
