I know most can be converted to a musket cap but I want one that can be converted with just a nipple change or already set up for it. Any ideas ?

I know on the Lyman you have to change the hammer also. That's why I want to make sure before I order one.

My first muzzle loader was a .58 Zouve which used musket caps. Have you ever shot a ML which used musket caps? They tend to throw sparks (and sometimes pieces of the cap itself) all over your shooting hand.

I used to shoot a TC Renegade with fast twist barrels in .45, .50, and .54 but I was lucky enough to be able to just swap out to a musket cap or Mag-Spark.

In my smoker days I shot musket an my "traditional" rifles and my White Rifle inline and TC Firehawk. Don't let the stitch counters catch you doing that or you will get kicked out of the camp unless it is really a musket. I used "Spitfire" nipples and they are made to fit most any thread type you have on reproduction guns. Hammer fit was never a problem. 10

The Traditions Firearms ShedHorn muzzleloader seems to fit your requirements perfectly. It's a .50cal sidelock rifle that uses musket cap primers out of the box, so no conversion is needed. The musket cap ignition system provides a hotter spark, which can improve performance when shooting heavier bullets, and it's suitable for states that don't allow 209 primers.
